It was Spring break this week, so of course it was cold and rained for most of it. My friend Tracy and I painted DD#2's bedroom, the first time it has been painted in 14 years. :) DD#2 chose the paint color and LOVES IT !!!
DH made it home OK, he is still fighting the tail end of his cold but we are very happy to have him back.
Otherwize the week was very quiet, a few friends over for the girls. dinners out since DH was gone and babysitting Tracy's dog at the end of the week. I only have two more of my sewing set to stitch before the first of the month. See below for pictures of the completed ones.
Here are the pictures of DD#2's bedroom.
My Helpers. : )
With her bugs and stuff back up.
Her new bedspread. We will hang the boarder that matches it as soon as the paint is completely dry. Now if only it would stay this clean. : )

The end of another Week
DH is sick again or maybe still sick and he leaves for a week away for work tomorrow.
Spring Break has started so of course it is going to rain all week long, all of my plans need to change now.
Here is another picture of DD#2 and her eclectic way of dressing.
I finally took a picture of Paradigm Lost by Long Dog Sampler. I have completed 5 pages.
I have completed the stitching on 4 of my models only 4 more to go. The biggest 4. I have enjoyed stitching them, I just don't enjoy self imposed deadlines. : )
I am going to spend the week, stitching, painting DD#2's bedroom and trying to keep both girls busy so they don't hurt each other. Wish me luck !

The week is not ending healthly
As of today, DH is home with a fever and a bad cold. DD#2 has a stuffy nose and didn't sleep well last night and DD#1 has a stuffy nose but I sent her to school anyway since they have had testing all week.
The good news is I finished Kathy's violets, I couldn't catch all of the sparkles, I changed the beads to a crystal instead of the antique silver, because they were in my stash
I also gave Paradigm lost some love this week, but I don't have a picture right now.
I do want to show you DD#2, she dressed herself on Sunday afternoon to go to the store with me. She is usually a PJ kinda girl. So this was very interesting to see.
I think this weekend will be quiet and hopefully healing for all involved.

A Good week
This has been a good week.
I had a project of mine published in The Gift of Stitching, an on-line needlework magazine
DD#1 Passed her first Tae Kwon Do testing and is now a yellow belt.
DD#2 has her first pre-school choir recital. I wasn't close enough to get pictures of this one but DH got it on video.
I was able to work on Violets a little more.
I finished re-reading Charlaine Harris, last Sookie Stackhouse book and now all I have to do is wait until May for the next one to be published.
I was able to keep in contact with family and friends and everyone is still OK, no matter how snowed in some of them are. : )
I am looking forward to next week, when it will be warm enough for DD#2 to play outside with the dogs and I will be able to work on my next project while sitting in the sun. The best place to see when working on small count fabric.

Some of the needlework going on around here
Here is some of the Needlework that is going on around my house
For the Month of March my friend Goldie and I are stitching Kathy's Violets by Chatelaine Designs. We were supposed to start on March 1st. I Actually started at 12:00 am March 1st since I was up because of a thunder storm and Chloe our Great Pyrness that hates them.
My work so far.

I also received a wonderful package from Goldie with lots of fun things. : ) Believe it or not after 32 years of stitching this is the first time I have every received something stitched just for me as a present. THANK YOU GOLDIE !!!
And last but not least here are the materials for my Celtic Knot Stitching set. It may be black and gold but I am going to use a lot of different types of Gold. : )

Paradigm Lost is still lost and waiting for some love. I plan on using it as a rest project while stitching the celtic models. I will update the pictures later.
