I weighed in yesterday and I gained a pound. Now I'm not to worried, I have rediscovered bread. MMMMM Bread, drool drool I also went out to eat last Friday night with DH, we had a nice steak dinner and a trip to Best Buy to finish Christmas shopping.
Last night I finished Eric's afghan, just in time too. Today I found out I will be having a new great niece/nephew in July. I should make the afghan now because I only crochet in the winter, but I think I will wait and to find out what colors my niece would like for this one. : )
Here is a picture of the girls under the two afghans, Gradeyn's is blue and Eric's is Red. The blue one has the same amount of yarn, it is just smaller because I used a smaller hook and the yarn wasn't as fluffy. I Found a couple more skeins of the blue and will tack them on before I send it out. I don't want Gradeyn's little toes to get cold before he's 30 ish. :)
Until next time Happy Holiday !!

Weigh in and I know, I know. :o/
First the weigh in news, I am now offically at -16 lbs as of Monday. I have also survived my first holiday party, with out gaining any weight. Yippee !!!
I know I have been negligent about posting, it just seems like I haven't had anything to say lately. I've finished one afghan for my great nephew in blue and have one started for another great Nephew, however I am out of yarn for the red one and can't find it anywhere. I will post a picture of both right before I mail them out.
If you ever come to my house and wonder why there are leaves in the corners, here is why.
It did snow here a week ago, enough for the girls to make snow angels, but it melted within a day.
We are part of the midwest Ice storm but we had two things going for us that has made it not so bad. One and this is the big one, our power lines are all buried here, so it is very hard to knock them out. and two, it spent most of yesterday at 33.3 degrees F. So most of our precip came down as rain. It did freeze some when it touched the ice already there, as you can see.
As I type I am enjoying one of my favorite things of all time, watching my daughter play, talk and dance while she doesn't know I am watching. I hope that no matter where you are you are safe and warm. Take care !

DD's recital and this years ornaments.
Last night was DD#1s first Piano recital. She did sooooo well. I am soooo proud of her. She was one of only 2 children who did not use music at all. Here she is with the young woman who used to be our neighbor.
I have been stitching, just not on something I can show you right now. So instead here is a picture of the Christmas tree ornaments that DD#2 and I made for my nieces and nephews this year. 10 all total.
We dodged the Ice bullet today when the first winter storm of the season missed us by just a few miles. We had rain instead of ice. As we enter this last month of the year, I hope that you and your families are all well and safe. Thank you for all of your kind words. Until next time.
