What an amazing weekend

http://good-times.webshots.com/album/560559091KWgcjB

And here are all 102 pictures of it. : )

This weekend I held a stitching GTG that turned into a renisance faire extravaganza.
On Friday Melanie arrived in the early afternoon and after unloading her car and going through her boxes of exchange patterns, we left DH with the girls and went to supper at my favorite Japanesse steak house, followed by a trip to the bookstore. Then home to talk some more and go to bed.
Saturday we did a little hobby store shopping before picking Valerie and Ginny up at the airport. I figured they couldn't miss me in my kitty cat ears, but they were so excited to get off the plane that they didn't see us until we stepped right in front of them. After raiding the local LNS and stopping for lunch, Ginny wanted Jalapenos, we returned home to turn Ginny and myself into wenches. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. DH and the girls looked at us all a little funny, but played along anyway. After changing back to normal we stitched, talked and traded patterns until leaving for a late dinner. Home and directly to bed.
Sunday what a day Sunday was. We were up, fed, dressed in Garb and out the door by 9:15 am so we could make opening ceremonies. It was such a wonderful day. The pictures tell the story better then I ever could. We were on our feet for almost the entire 8 hours, trying the food, shopping the booths and watching the shows and street performers. By the time we saw the closing ceremonies, we were tired, dirty, thirst and still laughing. Dinner was at Granite City in full Garb, where we meet Jim a friend of Valeries. After a 2 hour dinner with lots and lots of water. we head back home to shower and sleep.
Monday we slept late, ate brunch at First watch with DD#1, then dropped her off and took Valerie and Ginny back to the airport. : ( May in Atlanta can not come soon enough. Melanie and I returned home to tidy up our mess and take naps. Boy did we need them. DH grilled supper for us, we talked and stitched until we were to tired to keep our eyes open.
Tuesday Melanie left before DD#1 got on the bus.

It was so great to have my friends here. Ladies that even though I may only see them once a year, I think of daily and chat with on line as often as possible. Until we meet again, I am left with, memories, Pictures, good smelly things and blisters on my feet. None of which I would trade for a lot of money.

Until next time, thank you for the comments, take care and stay safe.

Sounds like an exhausting weekend but an awful lot of fun from the look of the pictures! Isn't it great to have friends like that!
