What a busy three or is it almost four weeks…. Anyway, things are finally calming down around here. I can’t say that it was extremely busy, but both girls were home (they hog my computer), Mom was here for a week and I have been fighting headaches again. Bah Humbug.
On the stitching front. I have been working on my piece for the February issue of TGOS, progress has been hampered quite a bit by the headaches. I am taking one of the pieces to the framer today, hopefully that will be enough. Other than that I have been crocheting dishcloths for myself and my friends. I have to have something to keep my hands busy during the many many hours of Scooby-Do reruns. : )
Christmas itself was very quiet. Dh didn't have to play at the other church, so we enjoy Christmas Eve service at our church with the girls, than home for Chili, sandwiches and present opening.
The next day was Christmas stockings and a PJ day in our house. We had a fire in the wood stove, snow on the ground and I made Ham with all the fixings. The DD’s enjoyed having their Dad home for the day to play with them and their new games.
DH went to Iowa on the Saturday after Christmas to pick up my Mom, she spent almost a week with us, Playing with the girls, relaxing and eating. : ) The Thursday before she left for Florida, we went and had a day to ourselves, Pedicures, shopping and lunch. It was wonderful having her here.
I weighed in on Monday and Much to my surprise I lost a total of 3 lbs. that is all the weight I gained over Thanksgiving plus 1.6 lbs more. I was really really surprised, especially since I didn’t count a single point while the girls were home.
Until next time, as Dr Max said, Play it safe and be Careful !
