Last year I started the "Everyone gets to choose dinner one night a week" program. This way each of the girls gets something every week that they like and they are not allowed to complain about the other nights. Also it stops them from wanting me to fix individualized meals for each of them every night.
I decided today that I need to start trying new recipies, either that or give my cookbooks (that are collecting dust)to the library. And since it would be easier to run a mile (just remember I DO NOT RUN !!!) than to give away a cookbook, let alone all of them, I am going to use my night for dinner every week to try something new.
This week it is going to be Chicken, Mushrooms and Sugar Snap Peas over Rice. I'm going to start out easy on their tastebuds and then eventually break into curry and paela. Bahahaha. If I don't make foodies out of them it won't be from trying.
Wish me luck.

I go through phases like this where I get tired of the same old dinners. My cookbook collection is pretty massive so I go searching. What usually happens is that we try something we really like and then I can't remember which book I found it in!
